Voilà is Sobeys' online grocery store for Ontario and Quebec.

Every price on it belongs to a delivery region: the same Compliments chicken pack was $16.00 in the site's default region and $13.99 for a Montreal address on the same day, and the range changes too. Without a location the API answers for the region the site assigns to a visitor and returns that region id with store_defaulted=true; pass latitude and longitude (and the postal code) to read a specific area. `search` returns products for a term with CAD shelf price, unit price, catch-weight flag, availability, brand, pack size, dietary labels, a sponsored flag and the brand facet; `category` browses one aisle, `categories` lists the aisle tree, and `product` returns the full sheet with description, ingredients, storage, preparation, the nutrition table and all images.
What a Voilà field actually contains
Fields that read differently from how they look. Every row was measured against live responses on 2026-10-18.

Voilà does not publish a total result count for a search; total is filled only when the first page is the whole answer.

Questions developers ask before integrating
Do I need a Voilà account?
No. Everything is read the way a visitor sees it before signing in: prices, availability and product sheets.
Why does the price depend on the location?
Voilà prices by delivery region. On 2026-10-18, 5 of 12 chicken products shared by two regions had different prices (one pack $16.00 vs $13.99). Pass latitude and longitude of the delivery address; the answer says which region it used.
What happens for an address Voilà does not deliver to?
The call fails with INVALID_PARAM and the site's reason (a Vancouver address was refused).
Is there a Scene+ member price?
No member price is published on the public site; Scene+ offers are points. The API returns the shelf price everyone pays.
How many products per page?
Up to 48 per page (24 by default); the site removes duplicate rows, so a page can be shorter. next_cursor continues the same search: three pages in a row returned 66 different products with no repeats.
Which filters and sorts work?
Brand (48 of 48 rows matched the chosen brand) and five sorts: relevance, price and price per unit, both directions. Price sorting is applied inside each of the site's result groups.
Are barcodes included?
No. Voilà does not print GTIN/UPC codes on its product pages; the API never turns Voilà's own ids into barcodes.
How fresh is the data?
Every call reads voila.ca live; nothing is cached.
What is the Voilà API?
Voilà API is a ReefAPI endpoint group for voilà by sobeys online grocery as json: cad shelf and unit prices, availability, brand, ingredients and nutrition, per delivery region. It returns live JSON through POST requests under /voila/v1.
Is the Voilà API free to try?
Yes. ReefAPI starts with 1,000 free credits, no card required. Voilà calls use the same shared credit balance as every other ReefAPI engine.
Do I need a Voilà login or account?
No login to Voilà is needed for the API response. You call ReefAPI with your x-api-key header, and the playground can run live examples before you create a production key.
How fresh is the Voilà data?
The page example is captured from a live search call, and production requests fetch live data through ReefAPI rather than a static sample.
How many credits does the Voilà API use?
Voilà actions currently cost 2-3 credits per successful call. Failed or blocked calls are free. All APIs draw from one credit pool.
Can I call Voilà from an AI assistant or MCP client?
Yes. Connect ReefAPI once through MCP and your assistant can call voila actions with the same key, credit pool and JSON envelope used by normal REST requests.
