How the Nike API works
Nike is a normal ReefAPI surface — the same four rules that hold for every other engine on the key.
No OAuth app, no request signing, no per-site account. One key covers all 252 engines.
Every route is a POST with a JSON body. Parameters are validated against the published schema before anything is charged.
Credits, not seats. Failed and blocked calls are never charged, and cache hits cost nothing.
One envelope everywhere. meta carries latency_ms, record_count and the endpoint that answered.

This is the one thing to know before you build a Nike stock alert. A product page lists every size of a style, including sizes with no stock at all. The API returns each size with the stock level Nike holds for it, and says so when Nike holds no stock record for that size. Nike Air Max Plus DM0032-037 in the United States, measured on 2026-09-15.

Which store, which price, which size, and what Nike does not publish
42 Nike stores, one style-colour per product. Measured on 2026-09-15 with a search and a product read in every country, 73 controlled cases and a comparison of 8 products against Nike's own product pages. Four of these lines go against us.
country picks the store; stores with several languages take language (us en or es-419, ch de, fr or it, be nl or fr, ca en-GB or fr, es es-ES or ca, jp ja or en, kr ko or en). 45 of 45 searches and 42 of 42 product reads succeeded across the 42 countries on 2026-09-15, every one in the store's currency.
8 of 8 products matched Nike's own product pages on title, price, full price, colour and number of sizes, in 8 different countries. Search rows agreed with the full product record on price and full price on 42 of 42 products.
When nike.com pads a search with unrelated products, results is empty and fallback_results_dropped counts them; include_fallback_results=true returns them apart. On 2026-09-15: 0 of 34 real searches emptied, misspellings such as pegasuss and jordon included; 10 of 16 made-up queries emptied and 1 already empty.
Each size carries available and stock_level (high, medium, low, out_of_stock). A size Nike lists but holds no stock record for reads available false, stock_level null and inventory_listed false - on DM0032-037, 10 of 17 listed sizes. Every size carries its GTIN and local size label (451 of 451 sizes across 42 products).
launch.starts_at and launches[].starts_at are the moment a launch opens. A launch product's commerce date is a placeholder - later than the launch on all 30 upcoming US launches with a start time - so it is never returned as a release date.
review_count includes reviews Nike attaches from related styles; own_review_count is the style's own reviews, the ones product/reviews pages through. CW2288: 5,659 counted, 1,391 related, 4,268 own.
Nike publishes neither. member_price is always null; stock is a level per size, not a quantity. There is no store stock and no price history.
A See Price in Bag promotion hides the final price until checkout. The shelf price is returned with the promotion flagged; the discounted price is not published before the bag.
Across 42 products in 42 countries: description 42, videos 19, star rating 31 (the rest have no reviews yet). Nike By You products have no style-colour and are read through their base style.
5 of 16 made-up queries still returned a page of unrelated products because nike.com reports many results for them. Those pages read keyword_matches_on_page 0; check it before trusting a search you typed by hand.
Brazil, India, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Chile and Argentina run separate Nike stores; New Zealand, Egypt, Morocco and Hong Kong have no online store on nike.com. They return MARKET_UNAVAILABLE with the reason, never another country's prices.

A search and a product read succeeded in every one on 2026-09-15, and every price came back in that store's currency - EUR in Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia and Hungary. Brazil, India, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Chile and Argentina run separate Nike stores, and New Zealand, Egypt, Morocco and Hong Kong have no online store on nike.com; those return MARKET_UNAVAILABLE with the reason.
Is there a member price?▾
No. Nike does not publish a member price, so member_price is always null. member_exclusive is true on member-only products, and quantity_limit is Nike's per-order limit (1 on SNKRS launches, 10 on most products). The API never returns Nike's internal staff price.
How do I get the release time of a SNKRS launch?▾
From launch.starts_at on product/detail or starts_at on launches - the moment the launch opens, in UTC. Do not use a product's commerce date for a launch: on 2026-09-15 all 30 upcoming US launches with a start time carried a later commerce date, for example a draw opening 2026-09-15 14:00 with a commerce date in July 2027. launch_method is Nike's own code for the launch type.
Why is the review count different from the number of reviews I can page through?▾
Nike counts reviews of related styles into the headline number. The Air Force 1 '07 CW2288 read 5,659 reviews, 1,391 of them from related styles and 4,268 of its own - the 4,268 you can page through. review_count, related_review_count and own_review_count keep the three apart. Reviews belong to the style, so every colour of CW2288 shares them, in every country.
Do sort and filters really apply?▾
Yes. For air max in the United States: price_asc and price_desc return prices in order (gift cards, listed at no price, come first in price_asc, as on nike.com), newest reorders the wall, a Black filter narrowed the results and every card returned was black, and Women plus Black narrowed further. The filter ids come from the filters action, with the product count for each. Pages come in sizes of 24, 50 or 100, as nike.com offers.
What do I pass as a product id?▾
The style-colour (DM0032-037) that search, category and launches return, or a nike.com product or launch link - a link from /ch/fr or /jp also sets the country and language. Nike By You products have a numeric id and no style-colour; their search rows carry base_style_color, the style to read. Style-colours are sold per country: one that a country does not sell returns NOT_FOUND there.
What about discontinued colourways?▾
Nike keeps them in its catalogue with status inactive, and nike.com no longer sells them: in the United States their product pages return not found. product/detail still reads them, with the last catalogue price labelled price_source catalog_inactive and listed_on_storefront false, never passed off as a current price. Products on sale in the store read status active and price_source product_feed; on 2026-09-15 their price equalled the store's search listing on 399 of 399 products checked in six countries.
What happens when nothing on nike.com matches my search?▾
You get an empty result, not a page of unrelated products. For a query with no real match nike.com fills the page with other products (zzqqxxnonexist showed 14, from running shoes to a baseball cap); results then comes back empty, fallback_results_dropped says how many were removed, and include_fallback_results=true returns them separately if you want them. Misspellings keep their results: pegasuss and jordon returned Pegasus and Jordan products, and on 2026-09-15 none of 34 real searches was emptied. Every search also reports keyword_matches_on_page; when it reads 0 on a large result set, the products are Nike's best guess rather than matches for your words.
What does Nike NOT publish?▾
A member price, a stock count (levels only), store stock, a rating distribution and a price history. The description is missing on some products (42 of 42 sampled products had one) and videos on most (19 of 42); 31 of 42 had a star rating, the rest had no reviews yet. Some promotions say See Price in Bag: the shelf price is returned and the promotion is flagged, because the final price is only shown in the bag.
What is the Nike API?▾
Nike API is a ReefAPI endpoint group for nike.com in 42 countries: prices, stock by size, snkrs launches and reviews. It returns live JSON through POST requests under /nike/v1.
Is the Nike API free to try?▾
Yes. ReefAPI starts with 1,000 free credits, no card required. Nike calls use the same shared credit balance as every other ReefAPI engine.
Do I need a Nike login or account?▾
No login to Nike is needed for the API response. You call ReefAPI with your x-api-key header, and the playground can run live examples before you create a production key.
How fresh is the Nike data?▾
The page example is captured from a live search call, and production requests fetch live data through ReefAPI rather than a static sample.
