How the Ripley API works
Ripley is a normal ReefAPI surface — the same four rules that hold for every other engine on the key.
No OAuth app, no request signing, no per-site account. One key covers all 530 engines.
Every route is a POST with a JSON body. Parameters are validated against the published schema before anything is charged.
Credits, not seats. Failed and blocked calls are never charged, and cache hits cost nothing.
One envelope everywhere. meta carries latency_ms, record_count and the endpoint that answered.

}What a Ripley field actually contains
Fields that read differently from how they look. Every row was measured against live Ripley answers on 2026-10-15.
| Field | What it holds |
|---|---|
| price | What a shopper without the Ripley card pays: the internet price. Chile in whole pesos (Ripley writes $729.990 for 729,990 CLP), Peru in soles (S/ 4,649.00). |
| normal_price, internet_price, card_price | The three prices Ripley shows, kept apart: the crossed normal price, the internet price and the price only for Tarjeta Ripley holders. Search rows and the product record agreed on all three for 10 of 10 products. card_price is null when there is no card price (154 of 288 search rows had one). |
| seller, seller_type | ripley when Ripley sells it, marketplace for a Mercado Ripley shop, with the shop's name (ASUS Tienda Oficial, Acer Store) and, in product, its legal name and tax id. |
| in_stock_index (search) vs in_stock (product) | Search rows carry the search index's stock flag; product carries the product record's. They can differ: one notebook listed as in stock in search was out of stock on its product page. Use product for stock. |
| sponsored | Paid listings shown above the results. They are returned separately because Ripley does not apply your filters to them. |
| id, default_variant_sku | id is the SKU you asked for (a search row's id opens the same product). For clothing and shoes, default_variant_sku is the size Ripley shows first. |
| total | Ripley's own count of matches for the query and filters. |
Brand names are case-sensitive at the source: HP returns 390 notebooks, hp returns 0. Copy brands from facets.brands.
Ripley coverage, measured
Every number below was read from live Ripley answers on 2026-10-15, in two consecutive runs of 43 calls each.
search, category, categories, product, reviews. Chile (simple.ripley.cl) and Peru (simple.ripley.com.pe).
notebook 3,055 → HP 390, sold by Ripley 178, marketplace 2,882, 300,000-500,000 CLP 194. Same totals in both runs.
Normal, internet and card price in search rows equal to the product record on 10 of 10 products (Chile) and 1 of 1 (Peru).
On 288 search rows from 6 searches: id, name, brand, prices, seller and image 288/288, card price 154, rating 127. On 10 products: model 9, card price 5, EAN 4.
10 of 10 ids from search rows opened in product with the same id and seller type, variant SKUs included.
Stock in search rows can be stale; product has the current stock. Sponsored listings ignore filters and come separately. Brand names are case-sensitive. Each listing answer is large (about 1 MB).

Get a free key →Do I need a Ripley account or a Tarjeta Ripley?▾
No. Everything is read logged out. The Tarjeta Ripley price is published by Ripley on its pages and comes back in its own field, card_price, never as price.
Does it cover Peru?▾
Yes. country=pe reads simple.ripley.com.pe with prices in soles; country=cl (the default) reads simple.ripley.cl in pesos. A notebook search returned 3,055 results in Chile and 413 in Peru.
Can I tell Ripley products from Mercado Ripley products?▾
Yes. seller_type is ripley or marketplace and seller names the shop. Filtering works: notebook 3,055 results, sold by Ripley 178, marketplace 2,882.
Which filters are there?▾
brand, seller_type, min_price, max_price, sort and page, each measured against the unfiltered count in the same run: notebook 3,055, HP 390, sold by Ripley 178, 300,000-500,000 CLP 194. Sorting by lowest price returned the page in ascending order.
Are the prices right?▾
Normal, internet and card prices in search rows matched the product record on 10 of 10 products in our check. Stock is the exception: use product, because the search index can still list an item that is out of stock.
Can I get delivery options for an address?▾
Pass a commune code to product (13101 is Santiago) and it returns the delivery and pickup options Ripley offers there, such as same-day delivery.
How fresh is the data?▾
Every call reads Ripley live; nothing is cached. Median times in our run: search 1.9 s, category 1.7 s, product 2.6 s, reviews 3.0 s.
How many results per page?▾
48 products per page plus the sponsored list. last_page and has_more tell you where a search ends.
What is the Ripley API?▾
Ripley API is a ReefAPI endpoint group for ripley in chile and peru: normal, internet and tarjeta ripley prices kept apart, ripley or mercado ripley seller, specs, stock and reviews. It returns live JSON through POST requests under /ripley/v1.
Is the Ripley API free to try?▾
Yes. ReefAPI starts with 1,000 free credits, no card required. Ripley calls use the same shared credit balance as every other ReefAPI engine.
Do I need a Ripley login or account?▾
No login to Ripley is needed for the API response. You call ReefAPI with your x-api-key header, and the playground can run live examples before you create a production key.
How fresh is the Ripley data?▾
The page example is captured from a live search call, and production requests fetch live data through ReefAPI rather than a static sample.
How many credits does the Ripley API use?▾
Ripley actions currently cost 1-3 credits per successful call. Failed or blocked calls are free. All APIs draw from one credit pool.
Can I call Ripley from an AI assistant or MCP client?▾
Yes. Connect ReefAPI once through MCP and your assistant can call ripley actions with the same key, credit pool and JSON envelope used by normal REST requests.
266 E-commerce & Marketplaces APIs on the same key
One key, one credit pool, one response envelope. If you are pulling Ripley, you are one call away from the rest of the category — no second contract, no second integration.
Need something this API does not do?
Name the endpoint, the field, or a source we do not carry yet. We ship new APIs every week and you would be first to get the key. Real people read every message and reply the same day.
Try it on your own data before you pay anything
The call above is the real endpoint, not a recording. A free key gives you 1,000 credits, the other 529 APIs, and the same envelope everywhere.
Endpoints, parameters and credit costs on this page are read from the live catalog and cannot drift from what the API accepts. Field notes were captured on 2026-10-15.
