Search Whatnot across products, live shows, sellers or everything at once. Product rows carry the price, the quantity, the sale type and the seller; show rows carry the stream's status, its start time and its live viewer count. A search row and a listing page are published as two DIFFERENT shapes, because Whatnot sends different keys on each, and a key a surface never sends is simply absent rather than present-and-null.

Prices arrive in minor units, and what moves every second is marked as a reading

Whatnot's price field is an integer in minor units: 16000 means $160.00. The page's own structured data prints 160, and the engine compares the two so a factor-of-a-hundred error cannot ship quietly. Separately, this is a live marketplace: measuring the same streams 74 seconds apart, the viewer count changed on 21 of 23 rows while title, status, start time, seller, price, quantity and sale type changed on none. The moving ones carry the timestamp they were read at.

United States and United Kingdom, and live bidding is not on any readable surface

Measured 2026-10-01 against the live gateway: 27 fixed cases run twice at 27/27, 276 listing rows and 5 listing pages for the field audit. Two of these lines go against us.

Always present on product rows

listing_id, url, title, description, price, price_minor, currency, status, transaction_type, quantity, images and seller. On show rows: livestream_id, url, title, status, is_live, start_time, active_viewers, thumbnail, categories and seller.

Against us: no live bid data

Whatnot's bidding runs over a websocket into the comment stream. Four bid fields were originally published and measured empty on 276 of 276 search rows AND absent from all 5 listing pages, so they were removed rather than left as columns that are always null.

Against us: the two surfaces carry different keys

A search row and a listing page are not the same object. Rather than pad one with the other's keys, each is published as its own shape and the spec says which is which.

Point-in-time fields are labelled

Measured 74 seconds apart: viewer count moved on 21 of 23 rows, everything else on none. Moving values carry the moment they were read.

Price checked twice

The minor-unit integer is compared with the figure the page's own structured data prints: 0 disagreements across 92 rows.

Locale is not a filter
