How the Alcampo API works
Alcampo is a normal ReefAPI surface — the same four rules that hold for every other engine on the key.
No OAuth app, no request signing, no per-site account. One key covers all 585 engines.
Every route is a POST with a JSON body. Parameters are validated against the published schema before anything is charged.
Credits, not seats. Failed and blocked calls are never charged, and cache hits cost nothing.
One envelope everywhere. meta carries latency_ms, record_count and the endpoint that answered.

Alcampo publishes no total count for a search; total is filled only when the first page is the whole answer.

Why does the price depend on the address?▾
Alcampo prices by store. Barcelona vs the default Madrid store: 11 of 32 shared milk products priced differently. Pass latitude/longitude of the delivery address.
Does on_offer work?▾
Yes: 48 of 48 rows with on_offer=true carried a promotion, against 5 of 48 without it.
Is there a Club Alcampo member price?▾
No member price is published on the public site; the API returns the price everyone pays plus the promotion texts.
How many products per page?▾
Up to 48 (24 by default). Three pages in a row returned 72 different products.
Are EAN barcodes included?▾
When the product sheet prints one: 2 of 8 sampled sheets did. Otherwise gtin is null.
How fresh is the data?▾
Every call reads the site live; nothing is cached.
What is the Alcampo API?▾
Alcampo API is a ReefAPI endpoint group for alcampo online supermarket (compraonline.alcampo.es) as json: eur prices per store area, folleto promotions, ean where printed, nutrition. It returns live JSON through POST requests under /alcampo/v1.
Is the Alcampo API free to try?▾
Yes. ReefAPI starts with 1,000 free credits, no card required. Alcampo calls use the same shared credit balance as every other ReefAPI engine.
Do I need an Alcampo login or account?▾
No login to Alcampo is needed for the API response. You call ReefAPI with your x-api-key header, and the playground can run live examples before you create a production key.
How fresh is the Alcampo data?▾
The page example is captured from a live search call, and production requests fetch live data through ReefAPI rather than a static sample.
How many credits does the Alcampo API use?▾
Alcampo actions currently cost 1-3 credits per successful call. Failed or blocked calls are free. All APIs draw from one credit pool.
Can I call Alcampo from an AI assistant or MCP client?▾
