How the Galaxus & Digitec API works
Galaxus & Digitec is a normal ReefAPI surface — the same four rules that hold for every other engine on the key.
No OAuth app, no request signing, no per-site account. One key covers all 491 engines.
Every route is a POST with a JSON body. Parameters are validated against the published schema before anything is charged.
Credits, not seats. Failed and blocked calls are never charged, and cache hits cost nothing.
One envelope everywhere. meta carries latency_ms, record_count and the endpoint that answered.
From a keyword to a daily CHF price and stock feed
Search once to find the category and brand ids, narrow the search with them, then follow the products you care about with product and price_history.

The price changes of the last year, to judge today's price.

}What a Galaxus field actually contains
Fields that read differently from how they look. Every row was measured against live Galaxus responses on 2026-10-14.
| Field | What it holds |
|---|---|
| product_id | Galaxus's numeric product id (76663413), the number at the end of a product URL. The same id works on every storefront and in product, price_history, offers and reviews; a product URL is accepted too. Search to product returned the same id on 18 of 18 products. |
| price, price_excl_vat | price is what the shopper pays incl. VAT, in the storefront's currency; price_excl_vat is Galaxus's own figure without VAT. The VAT rate depends on the product (8.1 % on electronics, 2.6 % on cat food at galaxus.ch), so use the published figure rather than dividing. On second-hand and resale offers both numbers are equal. |
| previous_price.type | Which previous price Galaxus shows: SALES_PRICE_BEFORE is Galaxus's own earlier price; LAST_NEW and NEW are the price as new, shown next to second-hand offers (59 CHF used next to 349 CHF last new). It is never merged into one discount figure. |
| site, currency | The storefront decides price, currency and VAT: the same iPhone was 1,199 CHF on galaxus.ch and digitec.ch, 1,449 EUR on galaxus.de and galaxus.at and 1,479 EUR on galaxus.fr and galaxus.nl. Reading galaxus.de from five different countries gave the same prices. |
| availability.warehouse_quantity | Units in Galaxus's central warehouse, exact up to 10. Galaxus itself only says "more than 10" above that, so the count is null and warehouse_more_than_10 is true (14 of 16 products measured). |
| availability.pickup | Stock per Galaxus pickup store (Zürich, Basel, Lausanne …) with the count or the time it can be collected. |
| offer_type | RETAIL is sold by Galaxus, MARKETPLACE by a marketplace seller, RESALE, REFURBISHED and SECOND_HAND are used offers. A search row is one offer, so a marketplace row can be cheaper than the product page, which shows Galaxus's own offer by default; `offers` lists them all. |
| fallback_results | true when the keyword matched nothing and Galaxus filled the page with related products instead (a nonsense word returned 4,819 VR headsets). The rows are what the site shows; the flag tells you they are not keyword matches. |
Search row price matched the product page on 17 of 17 products that show the same offer, and matched the seller's own entry in offers on 18 of 18. The latest price-history point equalled the current price on 8 of 8.

Search price equalled the product page on 17 of 17 products showing the same offer and the seller's entry in offers on 18 of 18; the latest price-history point equalled the current price on 8 of 8.
On 192 search rows in 8 categories: name, brand, both prices, offer type, availability, category and image on 192 of 192; rating on 175; unit price on cat food and perfume. On 16 product pages: GTIN, part number, specifications, warranty and price-history verdict on 16 of 16.
Exact warehouse count up to 10 (2 of 16 products); above that Galaxus says more than 10 (14 of 16). Pickup stock per store on the product record.

The questions people actually ask before wiring up Galaxus & Digitec.
Get a free key →Do I need a Galaxus account?▾
No. Everything is read logged out, and you call reefapi.com from anywhere.
Which countries are covered?▾
Switzerland (galaxus.ch and digitec.ch, CHF) and the Galaxus storefronts of Germany, Austria, France, Italy, the Netherlands and Belgium (EUR). Choose one with site. Digitec carries a narrower range than Galaxus: cat food matched 6,186 products on galaxus.ch and none on digitec.ch.
Which filters are there and do they work?▾
Category, brand, price range, minimum star rating and offer type. Each was checked against the unfiltered count in the same run: kopfhörer 24,757 → brand Sony 253, headphones category 8,360, up to 100 CHF 17,004, 4.75 stars and up 3,008, in stock 5,212, sold by Galaxus 21,898, on promotion 45, second-hand 928. A brand or category id Galaxus does not know returns no rows, never the whole catalogue.
How deep can I page?▾
Galaxus serves rows up to position 2,000 of any search, plus one page. With 24 rows per page the last page is 84; a later page is refused with that number instead of repeating the last page. Narrow the search with filters to reach more products.
Is the stock a real number?▾
On product, yes, up to 10: warehouse_quantity is the count Galaxus shows, and each pickup store has its own count. Above 10 Galaxus only says more than 10, and so do we. Search rows carry Galaxus's availability and delivery codes.
How far back does the price history go?▾
You choose, from 7 to 1,095 days. Each point is a price and the date it took effect, the data behind Galaxus's own price chart. The product record also carries Galaxus's verdict on the current price (low, typical or high) with the low and high of the period.
Can I search in French, Italian or English?▾
Yes, with lang. On galaxus.ch French and Italian translate names, specifications and descriptions; with English some descriptions are empty and some specification group names stay German, as on the site.
Do you return the shipping cost?▾
No. Galaxus does not publish it outside the basket. You get the delivery class, the expected delivery time and pickup availability.
What is the Galaxus & Digitec API?▾
Galaxus & Digitec API is a ReefAPI endpoint group for switzerland's largest online store: chf and eur prices, stock count, delivery date, specs, gtin, price history, seller offers and reviews. It returns live JSON through POST requests under /galaxus/v1.
Is the Galaxus & Digitec API free to try?▾
Yes. ReefAPI starts with 1,000 free credits, no card required. Galaxus & Digitec calls use the same shared credit balance as every other ReefAPI engine.
Do I need a Galaxus & Digitec login or account?▾
No login to Galaxus & Digitec is needed for the API response. You call ReefAPI with your x-api-key header, and the playground can run live examples before you create a production key.
How fresh is the Galaxus & Digitec data?▾
The page example is captured from a live search call, and production requests fetch live data through ReefAPI rather than a static sample.
How many credits does the Galaxus & Digitec API use?▾
Galaxus & Digitec actions currently cost 1-2 credits per successful call. Failed or blocked calls are free. All APIs draw from one credit pool.
Can I call Galaxus & Digitec from an AI assistant or MCP client?▾
Yes. Connect ReefAPI once through MCP and your assistant can call galaxus actions with the same key, credit pool and JSON envelope used by normal REST requests.

Endpoints, parameters and credit costs on this page are read from the live catalog and cannot drift from what the API accepts. Field notes were captured on 2026-10-14.
