How the Monoprix API works

Monoprix is a normal ReefAPI surface — the same four rules that hold for every other engine on the key.

01
Authenticate
x-api-key header

No OAuth app, no request signing, no per-site account. One key covers all 585 engines.

02
Call
POST /monoprix/v1/…

Every route is a POST with a JSON body. Parameters are validated against the published schema before anything is charged.

03
Pay
1 or 2 or 3 credits per call

Credits, not seats. Failed and blocked calls are never charged, and cache hits cost nothing.

04
Read
{ ok, data, meta, error }

One envelope everywhere. meta carries latency_ms, record_count and the endpoint that answered.

From a search to a full label

Search, filter to promotions, then read the sheets.

01search?query=fromage&on_offer=true
GET/monoprix/v1/search?query=fromage&on_offer=true

Promoted cheeses with shelf price, price per kg and the promotion text.

02product?id=MPX_6600978
GET/monoprix/v1/product?id=MPX_6600978

Ingredients, allergens, manufacturer, storage and nutrition table.

A Monoprix price and promotion feed with product facts.

What a Monoprix field actually contains

Fields that read differently from how they look. Every row was measured against live responses on 2026-10-18.

FieldWhat it holds
price, currencyThe shelf price printed on the product page, in euros. Checked against the page for 8 of 8 products in each of two runs.
promotionsThe site's own promotion texts. "-x% sur le 2ème produit" and "2 +1 offert" are basket rules: the shelf price stays the shelf price, and the API does not compute a discounted price for you.
unit_price, unitPrice per kg or per litre as printed (Camembert 250 g: 11.16 per kg).
price_is_estimate, typical_weightCheese and meat sold by weight: the price is for a typical 200 g piece.
ingredients, allergens, fieldsThe label text as published ("Lait" / "LAIT"), plus packaging, manufacturer and storage fields.
gtinMonoprix does not print barcodes on its product sheets (0 of 8), so the field stays null; MPX_6600978 is Monoprix's own id.

Monoprix publishes no total count for a search; total is filled only when the first page is the whole answer.

Monoprix coverage, measured

Every number below was read from live responses on 2026-10-18 in two separate runs: four searches, three consecutive pages, filters, one category, the aisle tree, 8 product sheets checked against the printed page, and a second delivery location.

Price accuracy

Search row, product sheet and the price printed on the page agreed for 8 of 8 products in each of two runs.

Promotions

61 of 192 search rows across four searches carried a promotion; on_offer kept 30 of 30 promoted.

Pagination

3 consecutive pages of 24, no product repeated.

Address

Paris and Lyon: 0 of 31 shared prices differed; 17 of 48 results differed.

Limits

No barcode, no search total, no member price; up to 48 products per page.

FAQ

Have a question? We got answers.

The questions people actually ask before wiring up Monoprix.

Get a free key →
Do I need a Monoprix account?▾

No. Prices, promotions and product sheets are read as a visitor sees them before signing in.

Is there a Monoprix loyalty-card price?▾

No member price is published on the public site. Promotions come as text; the shelf price is what everyone pays.

Does the price change with the address?▾

Not in our test: Paris and Lyon addresses returned the same price for 31 of 31 shared products, but 17 of 48 search results differed. Pass latitude/longitude to see the range of a specific area.

Does the on_offer filter work?▾

Yes: "fromage" returned 30 products with on_offer=true, all 30 carrying a promotion, against 1 promoted product in the first 48 unfiltered.

How many products per page?▾

Up to 48 (24 by default). next_cursor continues: three pages in a row returned 72 different products.

Are barcodes included?▾

No, Monoprix does not print them on product sheets.

How fresh is the data?▾

Every call reads the site live; nothing is cached.

What is the Monoprix API?▾

Monoprix API is a ReefAPI endpoint group for monoprix online groceries (courses.monoprix.fr) as json: eur shelf and unit prices, promotions, ingredients, allergens and nutrition. It returns live JSON through POST requests under /monoprix/v1.

Is the Monoprix API free to try?▾

Yes. ReefAPI starts with 1,000 free credits, no card required. Monoprix calls use the same shared credit balance as every other ReefAPI engine.

Do I need a Monoprix login or account?▾

No login to Monoprix is needed for the API response. You call ReefAPI with your x-api-key header, and the playground can run live examples before you create a production key.

How fresh is the Monoprix data?▾

The page example is captured from a live search call, and production requests fetch live data through ReefAPI rather than a static sample.

How many credits does the Monoprix API use?▾

Monoprix actions currently cost 1-3 credits per successful call. Failed or blocked calls are free. All APIs draw from one credit pool.

Can I call Monoprix from an AI assistant or MCP client?▾

Yes. Connect ReefAPI once through MCP and your assistant can call monoprix actions with the same key, credit pool and JSON envelope used by normal REST requests.

Is the Monoprix API a Monoprix scraper?▾

It is the managed alternative to a DIY Monoprix scraper. Instead of building and maintaining your own scraper — proxies, headless browsers, captcha and constant breakage — you call one ReefAPI endpoint and get the same monoprix online groceries (courses.monoprix.fr) as json: eur shelf and unit prices, promotions, ingredients, allergens and nutrition back as clean JSON.

Need something this API does not do?

Name the endpoint, the field, or a source we do not carry yet. We ship new APIs every week and you would be first to get the key. Real people read every message and reply the same day.

Try it on your own data before you pay anything

The call above is the real endpoint, not a recording. A free key gives you 1,000 credits, the other 584 APIs, and the same envelope everywhere.

Endpoints, parameters and credit costs on this page are read from the live catalog and cannot drift from what the API accepts. Field notes were captured on 2026-10-18.
