Dutch cars for your filters, one row per car: price checked against the page's own structured-data copy, build year, mileage, fuel, gearbox, body, colour, doors, power in kW and hp, dealer town and province, and sources — every site that lists this exact car, with its kind and a link that resolves to the real advert there.

How the Gaspedaal.nl API works

Gaspedaal.nl is a normal ReefAPI surface — the same four rules that hold for every other engine on the key.

01
Authenticate
x-api-key header

No OAuth app, no request signing, no per-site account. One key covers all 438 engines.

02
Call
POST /gaspedaal/v1/…

Every route is a POST with a JSON body. Parameters are validated against the published schema before anything is charged.

03
Pay
2 or 3 credits per call

Credits, not seats. Failed and blocked calls are never charged, and cache hits cost nothing.

04
Read
{ ok, data, meta, error }

One envelope everywhere. meta carries latency_ms, record_count and the endpoint that answered.

Find a car, then see every Dutch site selling it

Three calls: brands, then search, then listing.

01brands
POST/gaspedaal/v1/brands

Pick the brand and model by slug. brands returns all 447 brands with the slug search takes and the live car count; models returns that brand's models (82 for Volkswagen). Both are reference data, so cache them.

02search
POST/gaspedaal/v1/search
{ "brand": "volkswagen", "model": "golf", "price_max": 20000, "year_min": 2018, "transmission": "automatic" }

Search with filters that actually bite. Each of the 35 filters was measured to move Gaspedaal's own total in the same run. 100 cars a page, total_results is Gaspedaal's count, duplicates_dropped reports any repeat the live result set served.

03search
POST/gaspedaal/v1/search
{ "brand": "volkswagen", "model": "golf", "source_site": 2 }

Read the source group on each row. sources lists every site carrying that exact car with its id and kind. source_count was 1 to 12, mean 3.99, over 900 measured rows.

04listing
POST/gaspedaal/v1/listing
{ "ad_id": "141815198" }

Resolve the links to the real adverts. listing returns one car and, by default, follows each source link to the advert on that site. Anything the call budget cannot finish stays null and is counted, never silently dropped.

One car per row, priced and verified against the page's own structured data, with the Dutch sites selling it and a working link to each advert — no cross-site matching on your side.

One car, five sites: what an aggregator row actually contains

A Gaspedaal row is not a listing, it is a car. The same Volkswagen Golf is advertised by the dealer's own website, by two national classifieds, by the ANWB motoring-club site and by two lease portals. The API keeps that group whole and resolves each entry to the listing it actually points at, so you can compare the same car across sites instead of de-duplicating five feeds yourself.

Captured live on 2026-10-01 from one call. Dutch classified ads turn over in weeks, so these ids are dated — take fresh ones from search. Resolving the source links is opt-in and bounded: this call asked for 12 and got 12, which is why the third car in the same response still had four links unresolved and counted in source_urls_unresolved.

What was measured, and what Gaspedaal leaves out

Two consecutive live runs on 2026-10-01 with the same code: 12 of 12 working calls succeeded in each, 6 of 6 error cases returned the right code in each, all 35 filters moved the unfiltered total in both, and six search ids resolved to the same record in listing six times out of six. Five of these lines go against us.

One aggregator, the whole Dutch market

348,966 cars on 2026-10-01, 447 brands, 100 cars a page and 3,490 reachable pages. Prices in EUR. Private sellers are a thin slice: 2,146 cars of 348,966 — Gaspedaal is almost entirely dealer and portal stock.

The source group is the product

Over 900 rows: 1 to 12 sources per car, mean 3.99, 20 distinct Dutch sites inside one 100-car page and 23 across three. Every source carries the site name, its filter id, its kind and a link that resolves to the real advert.

Every price read twice

Each car appears in Gaspedaal's data and in the page's structured data; both are returned and compared. 100 of 100 agreed on price, mileage and doors on a page checked field by field, and price_conflict was never true across 1,800 rows.

Every filter narrows

All 35 measured against the same-run unfiltered total, twice: electric 34,734, automatic 208,365, manual 139,378, NAP-verified 142,554, VAT-deductible 155,471, within 10 km of Amsterdam 5,725, Volkswagen Golf 6,789, AutoTrack-exclusive 7,700.

Speed

Median 899 ms and 1,136 ms across the two runs; slowest call without link resolution 2,967 ms. Resolving 12 source links in one call took 6.0 s and 9.4 s, which is why it is off by default in search.

Against us: pages overlap, so de-duplicate by ad_id

Three consecutive pages of one search returned 300 rows containing 274 distinct cars — 8.67 % were a car already served on an earlier page, because the live result set re-ranks between fetches. Inside a single call duplicates are removed and counted.

Against us: no advert text, equipment list, owners or APK date

Gaspedaal does not publish them on the surface this API reads, and it has no detail page of its own — the full advert lives on the source site, which is what the resolved link is for.

Against us: the dealer's name is often missing

A trading name is published on about 31 % of adverts. Town is 99.8 % and province 84.3 %, and where the name is absent the dealer's own Gaspedaal page is returned instead on 59 % of rows.

Against us: two fields are patchy at source

Body style 87.6 % — blank on roughly one advert in eight — and cylinder capacity 85.8 %, mostly electric cars that have none. Both are counted over 900 rows, not estimated.

Against us: page size is fixed and one filter is withheld

100 cars a page cannot be changed. An import-car filter exists on the site but its meaning could not be established from the numbers, and an equipment-option filter returned nothing, so neither is offered rather than offered broken.

What people build with Gaspedaal.nl

The jobs this data is most often used for.

5

endpoints

2/3

credits per call

01

Price-comparison and valuation tools read one car once instead of matching the same advert across five Dutch sites themselves.

02

Dealers and dealer-software vendors audit their own stock distribution: which of their cars reached AutoTrack, AutoScout24 or ANWB, and which are stuck on their own website only.

03

Lease and fleet buyers filter VAT-deductible versus margin cars and verified NAP mileage, and reach the lease portals carrying each car directly.

04

Market analysts size the Dutch used-car market by brand, fuel, gearbox, province and seller type from Gaspedaal's own totals, and track how exclusive each source site's inventory is.

What makes an aggregator different from scraping one car site?▾

One row is one car, not one advert. Gaspedaal has already matched the same car across the Dutch sites that advertise it, and this API hands you that group: sources holds every site, its name, its id, its kind and a link that resolves to the listing on that site. Measured on 2026-10-01 over 900 rows, a car carried 1 to 12 sources, mean 3.99, and a single 100-car page touched 20 different Dutch sites. If you scraped the sites separately you would have to match the cars yourself; here the matching is the data.

Which Dutch sites are behind it?▾

The source_sites action answers that from a live sample instead of a brochure. On 2026-10-01 a 100-car sample contained 20 sites: the dealer's own website (on 100 % of cars), AutoTrack (100 %), AutoScout24 (71 %), ANWB (65 %), FinancialLease.nl (40 %), Lease.auto (30 %), DTC lease (28 %), Financial Lease For You (20 %), NationaleAutolease (19 %), Twelvelease (18 %), Regeljelease.nl (17 %), Mobilist (14 %), Vakgarage (9 %), Bedrijfsauto.nl, ActivLease, SEAT Approved Occasions, Carteam, AutoFirst, JAMES Autoservice and Mercedes-Benz Certified. A 300-car sample found 23. Worth knowing before you build on it: a good share of those are financial-lease portals rather than independent classifieds, which is why every source carries a kind field so you can keep them apart.

Does the same car ever appear twice?▾

Inside one call, no: rows are de-duplicated by ad_id and duplicates_dropped tells you how many repeats were removed — it was 0 across 900 rows in each of two runs. Across consecutive pages of one search it does happen, because the live result set re-ranks between page fetches: three consecutive pages of a Volkswagen search returned 300 rows containing 274 distinct cars, so 26 rows (8.67 %) were a car that had already been served on an earlier page. De-duplicate by ad_id when you page. What is not happening is double-listing: in those same 300 rows, 1,581 distinct source adverts appeared and not one of them belonged to two different Gaspedaal cars, and 274 cars produced 274 distinct brand-model-trim-year-mileage-price fingerprints.

Do the filters really narrow the results?▾

All 35 were measured against the unfiltered total in the same run, twice, and all 35 moved it. From 348,966 cars: electric 34,734, automatic 208,365, manual 139,378, convertibles 12,032, red 17,229, two-door 19,165, verified NAP mileage 142,554, VAT-deductible 155,471, margin cars 123,045, private sellers 2,146, BOVAG warranty 76,540, 300 kW and up 33,822, seven seats or more 10,438, eight cylinders or more 8,154, 500 km of electric range or more 8,950, within 10 km of Amsterdam centre 5,725, listed in the last day 11,941, Volkswagen 36,471, Volkswagen Golf 6,789. Filters the site accepts and then ignores are not offered at all, and an invalid enum value is rejected with an error instead of silently returning the whole catalogue.

Can I search by source site?▾

Yes, and this is specific to an aggregator. source_site returns only cars listed on that site — id 2, AutoTrack, covered 213,005 of 348,966 cars. only_source_site returns cars exclusive to one site — 7,700 cars are on AutoTrack and nowhere else, and each of those rows came back with exactly one source, which is how it was verified. exclude_source_site removes a site from every car's group and drops cars that then have no source left: excluding AutoTrack left 341,253 cars and not one of the returned rows still carried it.

How accurate are the prices?▾

Each car exists twice in the same response: once in Gaspedaal's result data and once in the structured data the page publishes for search engines. The engine reads both on every row, returns price_eur and price_eur_schema, and sets price_conflict when they differ. On a 100-car page checked field by field, price, mileage and door count agreed 100 out of 100, and across 1,800 rows in two acceptance runs price_conflict was never true. The same twin is used to fill in a value Gaspedaal leaves blank in one place but prints in the other — which is how gearbox coverage went from 66 % to 99.7 %.

How complete are the fields?▾

Counted over 900 rows per run across nine different searches, not assumed. 100 %: ad_id, title, brand, model, price, build year, mileage, listing date, photo and source count. 99.8 % trim, 99.8 % fuel, 99.7 % gearbox, 99.0 % doors, 97.7 % colour, 95.7 % power in kW and hp. Lower, and worth planning around: body style 87.6 % — Gaspedaal leaves it blank on about one ad in eight; cylinder capacity 85.8 %, mostly because electric cars have none. For the seller, town is 99.8 % and province 84.3 %, but the dealer's trading name is published on only about 31 % of ads, so where it is missing the API still returns that dealer's own Gaspedaal page instead (59 % of rows).

How many cars and pages can I get through?▾

348,966 cars on 2026-10-01, 100 per page, and no artificial ceiling: page 3,490 returned 71 rows and page 3,491 returned none, which matches the stated total. Page size is fixed by the site at 100 and cannot be changed. Nine sort orders: relevance, distance (needs a postcode), price up or down, mileage up or down, year up or down, and newest first.

What does Gaspedaal not publish?▾

Four things that would be fair to expect and are genuinely absent from this surface: the advert text, the equipment list, the number of previous owners and the APK (Dutch MOT) date. Gaspedaal also has no detail page of its own — the full advert lives on the source sites, which is why the resolved source link matters. There is no phone number, no e-mail address and no private seller's name anywhere in the data, so none is returned. A Dutch licence-plate lookup appears to exist on the site but could not be verified against a known car, so it is not offered rather than offered untested.

How fast is it, and what does resolving the source links cost?▾

Median 899 ms in one acceptance run and 1,136 ms in the other, over 12 live calls each; the slowest non-resolving call measured 2,967 ms. Resolving the source links is a separate request per link, so it is off by default in search, on by default for a single car, and capped by max_resolved_urls (10 by default, 40 maximum). A search that resolved 12 links took 6.0 s in one run and 9.4 s in the other — anything the call budget cannot finish stays null and is counted in source_urls_unresolved rather than dropped.

What is the Gaspedaal.nl API?▾

Gaspedaal.nl API is a ReefAPI endpoint group for the dutch car aggregator as json: one car per row, every nl site that lists it attached. It returns live JSON through POST requests under /gaspedaal/v1.

Is the Gaspedaal.nl API free to try?▾

Yes. ReefAPI starts with 1,000 free credits, no card required. Gaspedaal.nl calls use the same shared credit balance as every other ReefAPI engine.

Do I need a Gaspedaal.nl login or account?▾

No login to Gaspedaal.nl is needed for the API response. You call ReefAPI with your x-api-key header, and the playground can run live examples before you create a production key.

How fresh is the Gaspedaal.nl data?▾

The page example is captured from a live search call, and production requests fetch live data through ReefAPI rather than a static sample.
