# Ruten Taiwan product search and detail

## How to call
- **Endpoint:** `POST https://api.reefapi.com/ruten/v1/<action>` with a JSON body.
- **Auth:** header `x-api-key: <YOUR_REEFAPI_KEY>` — create one free (1,000 credits, no card): https://reefapi.com/signup
- **Response (every call):** `{ ok: boolean, data: ..., meta: { record_count, credits, ... }, error: { code, message } }` — branch on `ok`. Failed calls are free except verified SHEIN NOT_FOUND on product/detail and price (4 credits).
- **One key + one shared credit pool** across every ReefAPI API. Per-call credits are listed on each endpoint below.
- **Use it from an AI agent (MCP):** connect `https://api.reefapi.com/mcp` (remote streamable-http). Send the key as `Authorization: Bearer <key>`, or put it in the URL (`?key=<key>`) when the client has no header field, as ChatGPT does.

## Endpoints

### POST https://api.reefapi.com/ruten/v1/search — 3 credits
Search native Ruten Taiwan fixed-price listings; current TWD minimum/range, images and source seller ID.

**Parameters:**
- `query` (string, required) — Keyword in the original listing language; maximum100 characters.
- `page` (integer, optional, default 1) — 1-based source result page. Basic first and second pages qualified; deep coverage is not guaranteed.
- `max_results` (integer, optional, default 12) — Source page size1..24. Keep it constant while paging.

**Returns:** results[{product_id,title,price,price_range,buy_now_price,current_bid=null,currency,images,seller,stock_quantity,stock_status,available}], count, page, page_size, source_total, source_limit, has_more, excluded_unqualified

Resolve a fresh native Ruten fixed-price search ID to source detail; TWD price range, images, seller, location, condition and published description.

**Parameters:**
- `product_id` (string, required) — Identity from search, or its https://www.ruten.com.tw/item/<id>/ URL. Native fixed-price scope only.

**Returns:** product{product_id,title,price,price_range,buy_now_price,current_bid=null,currency,images,description,location,condition_code,seller,stock_quantity,available,source_has_stock,availability_conflict,jsonld_price,price_conflict,gtin?,isbn?}
