# ASDA API — UK grocery search and CIN product detail

> Search the published grocery catalog by keyword and zero-based page.

## How to call
- **Endpoint:** `POST https://api.reefapi.com/asda/v1/<action>` with a JSON body.
- **Auth:** header `x-api-key: <YOUR_REEFAPI_KEY>` — create one free (1,000 credits, no card): https://reefapi.com/signup
- **Response (every call):** `{ ok: boolean, data: ..., meta: { record_count, credits, ... }, error: { code, message } }` — branch on `ok`. Failed calls are free except verified SHEIN NOT_FOUND on product/detail and price (4 credits).
- **One key + one shared credit pool** across every ReefAPI API. Per-call credits are listed on each endpoint below.
- **Use it from an AI agent (MCP):** connect `https://api.reefapi.com/mcp` (remote streamable-http). Send the key as `Authorization: Bearer <key>`, or put it in the URL (`?key=<key>`) when the client has no header field, as ChatGPT does.

## Endpoints

### POST https://api.reefapi.com/asda/v1/search — 3 credits
Search the published grocery catalog by keyword and zero-based page.

**Parameters:**
- `query` (string, required) — Product search text.
- `page` (integer, optional, default 0) — Zero-based source page. Supported bounded range 0–50; accessible_pages is source-reported.
- `count` (integer, optional, default 20) — Requested records, subject to source results.
- `zone` (string, optional, default "EN") — Published price zone; EN England, SC Scotland, WA Wales, NI Northern Ireland. [one of: EN, SC, WA, NI]
- `store_id` (string, optional, default "4565") — ASDA store identifier used for the published stock flag. Defaults to source store 4565; no delivery-slot guarantee.

**Returns:** products, total, source page, accessible_pages, has_more. Product identity, GBP prices, unit price text, promotions and store stock status; no GTIN.

### POST https://api.reefapi.com/asda/v1/product/detail — 1 credit
Resolve the search CIN to the published product object: identity, regional price, unit/pack, media, store availability and published catalog attributes.

**Parameters:**
- `id` (string, required) — CIN returned by search, not GTIN or image id.
- `zone` (string, optional, default "EN") — Published price zone; EN England, SC Scotland, WA Wales, NI Northern Ireland. [one of: EN, SC, WA, NI]
- `store_id` (string, optional, default "4565") — ASDA store identifier used for the published stock flag. Defaults to source store 4565; no delivery-slot guarantee.

**Returns:** Product object including source identity, GBP price/unit/pack, published image, store availability, taxonomy and ratings when published. detail_scope=published_catalog_object; no retail-label or GTIN promise.

Compatibility route for the same meaningful published CIN product detail.

**Parameters:**
- `id` (string, required) — CIN returned by search; not an EAN or image identifier.
- `zone` (string, optional, default "EN") — Published price zone; EN England, SC Scotland, WA Wales, NI Northern Ireland. [one of: EN, SC, WA, NI]
- `store_id` (string, optional, default "4565") — ASDA store identifier used for the published stock flag. Defaults to source store 4565; no delivery-slot guarantee.

**Returns:** One catalog record with the same fields as search; ingredients, nutrition and GTIN not supplied.

## At scale
- **Volume:** 5M+ requests a day, measured at 60 requests a second across the fleet with no
